Angel & Devil Playing Cards

These devil and angel themed playing cards are whimsical and cute, designed for those with a sweet and devilish side. These playing cards were created using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for my Specialized Print Design class.

 

When creating these playing cards, the main objective was to create cards that had fun characters with simple designs. I wanted the red suits  (hearts and diamonds) and black suits (spades and clovers) to have an opposing theme, thus the theme of Angel and Devil was chosen.

A challenge when creating these cards was that I wanted to make sure the characters had some details while still remaining legible (I wanted the users of these cards to be able to tell the suit of the cards at a quick glance). As a result, characters with simple and cute designs were created as the visuals for the cards. A simple pattern was printed onto the playing card case so the user would be able to easily tell the theme of the cards.
