Packaging Redesign  |   February 2024   |   Gourmet Icing Brand

Introducing Dollop Gourmet, the most delicious, mouth-watering, guilt-free gourmet frosting. This ready-to-purchase icing aims to assist those who typically baked at home (upper middle-class parents), who feel long to produce a made-at-home treat that consistently tastes like a high-end bakery purchase.

During my internship, one of my tasks was to redesign the PDP top and front display packaging for Dollop Gourmet icing as they were amidst production changes for their Canadian launch. From changes such as transitioning from a clear to a solid container, round to rectangular lid, adding French type, this all tied into a one goal – showcasing how Dollop Gourmet was an affordable yet more premium offering for home bakers with some design refreshes.

A very exciting challenge I encountered while designing the packaging was how to combine vector and photography elements to showcase the icing's appeal. I tackled this challenge by repeating elements and colours from the main logo and weaving it through the photography resulting in the creation of a cohesive and fitting look for the brand.
